According to industry tracker Sacnilk, it passed the Monday test with flying colours, witnessing only a slight drop in collections, earning Rs 11 crore. This brings its total domestic collection to Rs 70 crore.

According to the makers, the film has minted Rs 200 crore at the worldwide box office. Mohanlal shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “The OVERLORD shatters the 200 crore barrier in style! EMPURAAN makes history! #L2E #Empuraan.”

L2: Empuraan had a record opening for Malayalam cinema on Thursday, earning Rs 21 crore. It saw a dip in collections on Friday, raking in Rs 11 crore, but picked up over the weekend, earning Rs 13.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 13.65 crore on Sunday. This was followed by a slight drop on Monday. The film had an overall 66.83 percent Malayalam occupancy on Monday, with 15.29 percent Telugu occupancy, 21.64 percent Tamil occupancy, and 10.23 percent Hindi occupancy in theatres on the same day.
