The Sunny Deol starrer off to a great start after 'Gadar 2', will benefit from Mahavir Jayanti holiday

Sunny Deol is back, and this time, he’s brought the big-screen swagger that fans have missed for a while now. After creating box office history with ‘Gadar 2’, the action star has returned with ‘Jaat’—a full-blown mass entertainer that’s winning hearts and setting the internet on fire. The film dropped in cinemas today, April 10 and here's what netizens have to say! As per the early reviews and verdict from the internet, the film seems like a wholesome massive entertainer.

From powerful dialogues to thrilling fight scenes, fans say ‘Jaat’ delivers everything they expected and more. In fact, many are calling it much better than Salman Khan’s recent film ‘Sikandar’.

Sunny Deol is back with a bang

In ‘Jaat’, Sunny Deol plays a tough, fearless man who takes on a dangerous criminal to protect the people of a quiet coastal village. Social media users are loving every minute of it. One fan wrote, “#Jaat - a full-on mass entertainer! Sunny Deol’s action packs a punch, Randeep Hooda shines as the villain.

Sunny Deol's 'Jaat' which released today is set for a grand opening number. Of course, it comes largely from Sunny's presence in such a massy avatar and the hangover of his last film 'Gadar 2'. It's obvious that fans were looking forward to this one, but what is working in the film's favour is that 'Jaat' is also getting a good word of mouth and has not disappointed people, as per the early reviews.

According to Box Office India, the movie has opened well in Rajasthan, UP, Bihar, CI and the occupancy is more as the film has benefitted from the Mahavir Jayanti holiday today in some parts. Though, the collections could have been better in centres like Delhi NCR, East Punjab and Gujarat. Till the early evening shows, the film has already made Rs 8.51 crore on day 1 as per Sacnilk. This number can be expected to go higher in the night shows as the word of mouth is good and more spot bookings are expected.

The film which also stars Randeep Hooda and Vineet Kumar Singh must be able to cross a double digit number on Day 1 and it's expected to see growth on Saturday and Sunday. With this, 'Jaat' will give a tough competition to Salman Khan's 'Sikandar' which is slowly going way down in terms of the numbers. 'Jaat' has released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Obviously, with Sunny Deol's presence, it may be expected to do better in the north.
